A FEW NOTES:
Santa Fe is a dusty rose if ever there was one. Flat shoes and comfortable clothes are encouraged, at least as options. It’ll be hot in the sun in the day and cool in the shade at night.
Dress code:
Creative Chiller // Blue Tie // Yolo Bolo // Formal, but like a painter // Boston Brahmin Barman Bohemian // Oingo Boingo [NOT! THE BAND] // Our Children's Earth Gala // Friday Night Life. (JM)
and/or
Wildflower garden party, pops of color against adobe, breezy linen, bolos and beads, creative charming, nice but not fussy. Flat or low height shoes with a block/wedge heel encouraged. (LVB)
Santa Fe is in the high desert. What this means for you:
- Wear sunscreen, you’re physically closer to the sun, especially if you’re tall or forgot to bring a hat.
- Drink lots of water (more than you think) (take another sip).
- If you’re feeling the effects of altitude sickness, focus on taking full exhales so you can fully fill your lungs back up with oxygen. (Not 100% sure if this works but it’s worth a try; Ed Von Bergen will also be supplying canned oxygen)
- If you drink alcohol, pace yourself on your first day/evening while you get used to the environs.
- The sunsets are really beautiful.
And don’t forget, this is just a rehearsal for November 15th in Chicago, at the Color Club. Be sure to remember who you talked to and what about, since you’ll have to do it again exactly but with a much larger audience.
